I LOVE coming home to a nice bowl of juicy fruit after a long, hot summer day. there’s nothing better than digging into an apple or even better a savoury peach but what I enjoy even more is coming home to find my fruit covered in Fruit Flies. Sorry but aren’t flies exclusive to flying around a horse’s butt???….maybe not. After a few summer’s of dealing with this annoying dilemma my roommate came up with a solution that I find to me total, utter, magic! So, if you’re suffering from the same here’s how to eliminate them once and for all (and you know I wouldn’t tell you this if it didn’t actually work!)
::How To Get Rid of Fruit Flies::
- Find an empty jar or container.
- Put a little bit, let’s say 1/4 cup or even less, of Apple Cider Vinegar or Balsamic Vinegar in and mix with some drops (5-10?) of regular ole’ dish soap. Mix the concoction a little and set it in the area where you’re finding these buggers.
- Wake up the next morning and be mystified! No joke. Remember to change it every now and then.
The vinegar attracts the flies and the dish soap kills them, my apartment has been Fruit Fly free ever since! You’re welcome ;)
